Funding

Funding covers the money going into financial technology companies: seed and venture rounds, growth equity, secondary sales and tender offers, the valuations they set, and the debt facilities that fund lenders' books. Fintechbits reports who led a round and who followed, what the company says the money is for, and what the terms reveal about the market, such as a flat valuation dressed up as a raise or a round led by the same investors who already own the company. It is an event hub rather than a subject: a Series B for a B2B payments company is covered here and on the B2B payments hub. Acquisitions are not funding and belong under mergers and acquisitions. Earnings and public-market moves are covered on the hub for the market they affect.
