BitGo Bank & Trust, the OCC-regulated trust bank owned by BitGo Holdings, said on 27 October 2026 that eligible institutional clients will get BitGo WTGXX access, meaning the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund through BitGo Mint, according to the announcement on BusinessWire. Fintechbits reported on 19 September 2026 that WisdomTree was building WTGXX access on MoonPay, which the companies said reaches more than 35 million accounts, so BitGo is the second distribution deal for the fund Fintechbits has covered in about six weeks.
What BitGo WTGXX access changes for institutions
The BitGo WTGXX integration lets clients submit purchase and redemption instructions through BitGo Bank & Trust and move between dollars, supported stablecoins and fund shares without onboarding separately with WisdomTree. Clients will also be able to reallocate beneficial interests in WTGXX shares peer to peer through BitGo’s Go Network. WTGXX joins USD1 and SoFiUSD in BitGo Mint.
For a crypto treasury, the appeal is idle cash earning a Treasury yield inside the custody account it already uses. Will Peck, Head of WisdomTree Onchain, put the aim as “making institutional cash more productive without making it less available”. The release says this applies “when live” and gives no launch date, yield or minimum. BitGo has been widening its role beyond custody, including Kalshi margining, and BitGo WTGXX moves it closer to acting as a cash manager for crypto firms. WisdomTree reports about $174.4 billion in assets under management across all products.
The two firms already work together. BitGo is one of the custodians holding the cryptocurrencies behind WisdomTree’s digital asset exchange-traded products in Europe, in cold storage. “Institutions should not have to move assets across multiple platforms to access tokenized financial products,” said Mike Belshe, CEO and co-founder of BitGo, which is the case for putting the fund where the crypto already sits.
BitGo Holdings reports its third-quarter 2026 results on 9 November 2026, and that is the first place investors could see whether tokenized funds held through BitGo Mint are adding to client balances. Until WTGXX goes live in BitGo Mint, the BitGo WTGXX deal is a distribution promise rather than a source of assets for either company.
