Janus Henderson and Centrifuge launched Janus Henderson JQQQ on 27 October 2026, a fund built for issuance on public blockchains that seeks to track the Nasdaq-100 Index under licence from Nasdaq, according to the announcement on BusinessWire. Fintechbits reported in August 2026 that Grove, an onchain credit protocol, had deployed more than $1.27 billion through Centrifuge infrastructure and bought 37.8 million of its CFG tokens, so JQQQ joins a platform already carrying institutional money.

What Janus Henderson JQQQ adds

Janus Henderson manages about half a trillion dollars and calls itself a top five global provider of tokenized funds. Nick Cherney, Head of Innovation, said the launch expands an onchain platform that “now includes more than $1 billion in institutional strategies across U.S. Treasuries, structured credit, and public equities”. JQQQ adds one of the best-known equity benchmarks to that platform.

The fund launches exclusively on Stellar, where the release says real-world assets passed $4 billion in 2026. The pitch is composability: fund shares that can serve as collateral or sit inside programmable portfolios, which a traditional Nasdaq-100 ETF share cannot do onchain. The release mentions “competitive fees” but gives no fee, minimum or eligibility rules, and does not say whether JQQQ is open to US retail investors. Those details decide who can buy it.

The partners are betting on a pipeline. Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Development Foundation, said “Stellar was purpose-built for regulated finance, and we expect many more products like this to follow.” Anil Sood, Centrifuge’s Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, framed Janus Henderson JQQQ as bringing the Nasdaq-100 onchain “as a licensed, issuer-sponsored institutional investment product”. The licence from Nasdaq and Janus Henderson’s name on the fund are what the partners expect to set it apart. Tokenized credit has moved faster, as Victory Park’s tokenized credit fund showed, so Janus Henderson JQQQ is a test of whether equity index exposure draws the same onchain demand.
