Solovis, the Irving, Texas portfolio analytics company used by institutional investors, opened a public preview of Solovis IO on 3 November 2026, an AI layer that lets investment offices ask questions of the portfolio records they already keep in Solovis, and added former Yale Investments chief operating officer Jon Fernandez to its board, according to the company’s announcement. Nasdaq announced on 17 September 2025 that it had agreed to sell Solovis to Insight Partners, with closing expected in the fourth quarter of 2025, Fintechbits found, a history the Solovis IO release reduces to the words “backed by Insight Partners”. Solovis says its clients hold more than $20 trillion in assets under management and administration.
What Solovis IO does
Solovis IO combines AI queries, reporting, dashboards and proactive alerts in one interface, drawing on the auditable record the investment office already keeps in Solovis. The public preview starts with Portfolio Analytics; Risk Pro comes later. Solovis says it will add Model Context Protocol connectivity in November and “reimagined reporting in the coming months.”
The pitch is speed. “In most investment offices, the hardest questions take weeks to answer, so they rarely get asked,” the release says. Leo Rozkin, chief executive of Solovis, said clients “will shape what it becomes.”
The people around the launch
Jon Fernandez led technology and operations modernisation as chief operating officer of Yale Investments, and spent 13 years as an executive at Bridgewater Associates. He is also co-founder and chief executive of DividendAI, an agentic AI services start-up the release describes as “powered by Insight Partners,” and an adviser to Insight. Fernandez said that at Yale “data availability, data quality, and calculation capabilities for allocators and LPs lag what’s available for some sophisticated GPs.”
Ryan Manougian joins as senior vice president of sales from Upland Software, where he was vice president of sales, after earlier leading sales at Bloomfire. He said investment offices face “more private market exposure and volatility, and more questions from their boards,” and that no one has found a way to bring their data sources together in a trusted, secure and organised manner.
Fintechbits analysis
Why the Solovis IO timing makes sense
Solovis was part of Nasdaq until Insight Partners, a growth software investor, agreed to buy it. New owners usually want a product story and a sales push, and a new AI product, a new sales leader and a board member who also runs an Insight-backed AI start-up arrive together here. Rivals are moving too: Morningstar rebuilt its Direct platform around AI agents in October, as Fintechbits reported, and analytics vendors such as Numerix keep buying capabilities under private equity ownership, as in its Suite acquisition.
Why Solovis IO is a data-quality bet, not an AI bet
Any vendor can put a chat window on a portfolio. Solovis’ advantage is that its clients already treat Solovis as the official record their boards and compliance teams rely on, so answers draw on reconciled data rather than whatever a model can scrape together. That is the right foundation. The weakness is governance: the board appointment ties a director to both Solovis and an Insight-backed AI services firm, which is worth watching if DividendAI and Solovis IO ever sell to the same investment offices.

What to watch next
The marker is whether Model Context Protocol connectivity arrives in November as promised and whether Risk Pro joins the preview. A named endowment or pension using Solovis IO in production, rather than in preview, would show the product has moved past the demo stage.
