Regions Bank said on 27 October 2026 that a Regions Clip Money service, built with NCR Atleos, lets its treasury management clients deposit cash at more than 8,100 Clip Money locations, including retail stores, smart safes and ATMs, according to the announcement on BusinessWire. Fintechbits checked Clip Money’s latest results: the TSX Venture-listed company reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.91 million, up 42%, a net loss of $1.44 million and 4,378 active customer locations.
What the Regions Clip Money deal gives businesses
Regions clients that handle a lot of cash, including retailers, convenience and grocery stores, healthcare providers, utilities and municipalities, can deposit at participating retailers, malls and NCR Atleos ATMs and get next-business-day credit to their primary operating account. NCR Atleos supplies the ATM side of the network. Clients can also order coins and notes delivered to their sites and consolidate deposits from many locations into one account with central reporting. Bryan Ford, Regions’ head of Treasury Management, called it “the latest example” of Regions using third-party providers alongside in-house services.
The Regions Clip Money deal is the kind of channel partnership Clip has been chasing. In its second-quarter results, Clip said it expected “key channel partners to dramatically increase our available market in the second half of 2026”, and a large regional bank fits that description. For Clip, a company with under $2 million of quarterly revenue, Regions could matter a great deal.
Clip also disclosed on 29 July 2026 a master services agreement with an unnamed commercial partner worth an upfront $1.75 million plus up to $2.75 million in milestone payments; the Regions Clip Money announcement does not say whether Regions is that partner, and Fintechbits has not assumed so. For Regions, the deal extends cash services without new branches, the same build-versus-partner choice smaller banks make on digital banking and embedded accounts.
