Intuit announced on 27 October 2026, at its Intuit Connect event in Las Vegas, new Intuit Intelligence features for accountants and businesses, including monthly Agentic Books Close in Intuit Accountant Suite, industry editions of Intuit Enterprise Suite and smarter invoicing in QuickBooks, according to the announcement on BusinessWire. Fintechbits reported on 16 August 2026 that Intuit had launched Intuit Intelligence Chat for QuickBooks Online Advanced and Intuit Enterprise Suite on 12 August, so the Intuit Connect announcement is the second Intuit Intelligence expansion in about eleven weeks.
What Intuit Intelligence now does for accountants
Agentic Books Close runs more of the monthly close automatically, following a firm’s own procedures and logging each action, while accountants review, approve and handle exceptions. Intuit says Intuit Accountant Suite has been adopted by more than 250,000 accounting firms and that its automation gives accountants an estimated 30% reduction in manual work. ProPartner, a training, certification and rewards programme, launches in early 2027.
Firm Playbooks let firms standardise onboarding and workflows across clients, and portfolio intelligence surfaces anomalies and benchmarks across a firm’s whole book of business. Matthew May, a CAS partner at Sorren, said the suite blends “Intuit’s software, our team’s human expertise, and AI”, which is the human-in-the-loop pitch Intuit is making to firms that sign off on the numbers.
Intuit puts the scale of the platform at 82 million consumers, 10 million businesses and 650,000 accountants. It says Intuit Intelligence orchestrates more than 60 specialised language models and more than 100 AI skill agents, and that AI categorises more than 400 million transactions a month. The August release aimed at finance chiefs. This one aims at the accountants who advise them, and accountants are how many small businesses end up on QuickBooks in the first place. Intuit has also been buying capability, as its Sequence acquisition showed. The release gives no pricing for the new features.
