Ripple and Robinhood announced a Robinhood RLUSD partnership on 27 October 2026 that makes Ripple’s stablecoin a key stablecoin across Robinhood’s crypto businesses, brings Ripple Treasury into Robinhood’s own finance operations and extends Ripple Prime financing to Bitstamp by Robinhood, according to Ripple’s announcement. When Fintechbits checked Bitstamp by Robinhood’s market page on 27 October 2026, an RLUSD/USD pair was live and listed as the ERC-20 token on Ethereum, not the XRP Ledger version Robinhood says it will use for institutional settlement. The Robinhood RLUSD deal is partly live and partly a plan.

What the Robinhood RLUSD partnership covers

The deal has three parts. The first is the stablecoin: Ripple says RLUSD is live on Robinhood Chain and on Bitstamp by Robinhood, and is expected to come to the main Robinhood app later in 2026. Robinhood will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement through Bitstamp.

The second part is Robinhood’s own back office. Robinhood will integrate Ripple Treasury to run its global treasury operations, including cash and liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, payments, risk management and intercompany netting. That makes Robinhood a customer of Ripple’s corporate treasury software as well as a distributor of its stablecoin.

The third part builds on an existing relationship. Ripple Prime already provides Bitstamp by Robinhood with lending and margin financing across roughly 20 digital assets and gives Ripple Prime clients access to spot trading on Bitstamp. Ripple says Ripple Prime will support perpetual futures trading on Bitstamp later in 2026.

“Utility is what moves stablecoins forward,” said Johann Kerbrat, SVP and GM of Robinhood Crypto and International, in the announcement.

The numbers behind the Robinhood RLUSD deal

Ripple says total stablecoin supply exceeds $300 billion and that RLUSD has grown to more than $2.5 billion in market capitalisation since launching in December 2024. The release says Robinhood serves 28.6 million funded customers, which matches the end-of-August figure in Robinhood’s August 2026 operating data.

What the release does not give is any volume commitment, revenue share or timetable beyond “later” for the app launch and perpetual futures.

Why the Robinhood RLUSD treasury piece matters most

The headline will be RLUSD in the Robinhood app, but the stronger signal is Ripple Treasury. Stablecoin distribution deals are easy to sign, and filling them with volume takes much longer. A company that runs its own cash, liquidity and intercompany netting on a vendor’s software has made a deeper commitment, and Robinhood is a large, regulated, listed reference customer for a product Ripple has been pushing hard, as its 24/7 Returns launch at Swell 2026 shows.

The Robinhood RLUSD stablecoin piece is weaker. RLUSD is one of many stablecoins Robinhood can list, and a market page with a dollar pair does not equal usage. Ripple has signed a string of RLUSD deals in October, and Cross River’s core banking integration came without a named client or any volume. The Bitstamp check adds a detail: the live pair is the Ethereum token, while the institutional settlement Robinhood describes is meant to run on the XRP Ledger.

For Robinhood, the Robinhood RLUSD arrangement is cheap and flexible. It gets prime financing, treasury software and a stablecoin option without committing to exclusivity, at least in anything the release discloses.

Frequently asked questions

Is Robinhood RLUSD trading live?

Ripple says RLUSD is live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood, where Fintechbits found an RLUSD/USD market. RLUSD is expected in the main Robinhood app later in 2026, according to Ripple’s announcement.

What does the Robinhood RLUSD deal include besides the stablecoin?

Robinhood will use Ripple Treasury for its own treasury operations, and Ripple Prime provides Bitstamp by Robinhood with lending and margin financing across roughly 20 digital assets. Ripple Prime is due to support perpetual futures on Bitstamp later in 2026.

How big is RLUSD?

Ripple says RLUSD has a market capitalisation of more than $2.5 billion and launched in December 2024. Total stablecoin supply exceeds $300 billion, according to the same announcement.

What to Watch Next

When Robinhood reports third-quarter results, the useful disclosure will be any stablecoin or Bitstamp institutional volume line, since the release has none. The other marker is the main Robinhood app: if RLUSD reaches it before the end of 2026, retail distribution is real. If the XRP Ledger version of RLUSD starts trading on Bitstamp, the institutional settlement leg of the Robinhood RLUSD deal is running.
