Why these moves matter
Toast has picked an internal successor for its finance chief. Michael Senno has been Senior Vice President of Finance since April 2023 and takes over from Elena Gomez on 1 January 2027, with Gomez staying on as an adviser until July. The 8-K came with the results Fintechbits covered in Toast’s third quarter.
Two banks also changed senior risk and fintech roles. Jodi L. Richard left U.S. Bancorp with immediate effect, and its Chief Credit Officer is interim Chief Risk Officer while the bank picks a successor. At Coastal Financial, Brian Hamilton is leaving the presidency of CCBX, its fintech and banking-as-a-service division, for a consulting role. In the same filing, Coastal said Chief Executive Officer Eric M. Sprink volunteered to reduce his compensation as part of a broader profit improvement plan.
Once JP Aubin steps down, BGC will be led by Co-CEOs John J. Abularrage and Sean A. Windeatt. Fintechbits looked at the change in JP Aubin’s move to Vice Chairman. Nothing comes from rumours, profile changes or other roundups. The search for 29 October to 4 November covered SEC 8-K filings that report Item 5.02 for fintech, payments, banking and financial infrastructure companies, and 8-K and 6-K filings that name watch-list companies. Fintechbits also searched the web for company press releases dated inside the week; none of those candidates met the rules. UK and European exchange notices were not checked, so moves announced only there may be missing.
