CF Benchmarks, the FCA-authorised index provider owned by Kraken parent Payward, launched CFB Oracle on 27 October 2026, a service that delivers its indices to exchanges and onchain applications with signed values that can be verified onchain, according to the CFB Oracle product page and the company’s release. Fintechbits checked the CFB Oracle product page, which says pull delivery is available on Ethereum, HyperEVM and Robinhood Chain while push delivery is still in development, and the OCC’s licensing page, which lists a pending application from Payward National Trust Company received on 8 May 2026.
What CFB Oracle offers and who it serves
CF Benchmarks indices already underpin products from CME Group, BlackRock and Kalshi, and the company says more than $120 billion of assets reference them. The new service extends that to DeFi, covering crypto, equities, fixed income, commodities, FX, multi-asset indices and staking and interest rates, including 24/7 equity prices derived from tokenised equities. CF Benchmarks says it sells no early-access or faster update tiers, so every client sees the same price at the same time.
Each index has a published methodology, and the regulated ones sit under the UK Benchmarks Regulation, with CF Benchmarks on the FCA Benchmarks Register under firm reference number 847100. That oversight is the pitch against the established crypto oracle networks DeFi builders already use. Builders will switch only if the regulated feed is as fast and as widely deployed.
The first anchor customer belongs to the same group. CFB Oracle will be the oracle for Payward’s planned onchain perpetual futures for US clients, powered by Hyperliquid, and the release says that launch is still subject to regulatory approval. Payward has been building out licences, including full VARA approval in the UAE and the pending OCC trust application, and buying distribution, as in its Magic Labs wallet deal. A regulated price feed is what those products need, and selling it to outside DeFi builders is the second job.
