Persona, the San Francisco identity verification company, launched Persona AI on 29 October 2026, a set of agents and assistants that gather evidence on identity cases, check it against a customer’s policies and recommend decisions, and said its customer Parafin cut median KYC review time by about 95%, from roughly 18 hours to under one hour, according to the Persona AI announcement. Persona’s headline customer, Parafin, is the embedded lender Stripe agreed to buy on 30 September 2026, as Fintechbits reported, which puts Persona’s agents inside a business moving into Stripe. More than 30 early-access customers, including Zillow and Etsy, tested the tools.
What the agents do
Case Review Agents approve cases that meet a customer’s criteria and send exceptions to people; Parafin says the agent’s decisions matched its human reviewers 99% of the time. Policy Agents turn compliance rules into workflows. Chief executive Rick Song said “AI can’t fight AI-powered attacks on its own”. Persona says deepfakes on its platform have risen more than 50 times in recent years. Fraud teams are adopting AI fast, as Fintechbits found.
