Bar chart of fintech hiring: new roles by employer, 19 to 25 October 2026, led by Stripe, Toast and Wise
Chart: Fintechbits analysis of Finjobsly data

Fintech hiring at the companies Finjobsly watches came to 335 new job ads between 19 and 25 October 2026. Finjobsly’s live data covers 4,247 active roles at 36 tracked employers as of 26 October 2026. Of the 32 employers tracked before the October expansion, 28 posted at least one new role that week, and the 335 new ads add up to about one in eleven of their live roles.

One adjustment first. Four employers were added to the tracker, or in Checkout.com’s case had their coverage widened from a handful of roles, on 19 and 20 October: Ramp, Checkout.com, Nubank and Mercury, with 503 live roles between them. Their whole backlog arrived in one crawl. Counting it as new would turn a wider net into a fake fintech hiring boom, so this report leaves them out of every weekly figure. They are in the panel totals and will count normally from the next edition.

What the fintech hiring data means

The two employers that posted most are hiring salespeople. Of Toast’s 44 new ads, 26 are sales roles, mostly account executives covering US territories from Fargo, North Dakota to Wilmington, Delaware, several of them for Spanish, Thai or Vietnamese speakers selling to restaurants. Stripe’s 45 include 19 sales roles, among them account executives for Belgium, the Nordics and French, German and Spanish speaking markets, plus one selling Bridge, its stablecoin business.

The junior figure is the one to watch. Entry-level roles are scarce at these employers, at 6.6% of live jobs with a seniority level, so a week at 10.5% stands out. It is spread across 11 employers, led by Toast with 10 and Wise with 6. One week is not a trend. If the share holds into November, though, it would be welcome news for anyone trying to land a first job in fintech.

On work style and pay disclosure, the week’s new roles look much like the jobs already live at the same employers. Across this panel, fintech hiring is senior-heavy, with a sales tilt at the top.

Fintech hiring by company: who posted the most new roles?

Stripe posted the most new roles, 45, just ahead of Toast with 44 and Wise with 29. Affirm added 21, Adyen and Brex 17 each, Plaid 15, Block and SoFi 13 each and Robinhood 12. Stripe accounts for 13.4% of the week’s new ads, a smaller share than its 804 of all 4,247 live roles in the panel, or 18.9%. The full list of companies hiring is on Finjobsly’s fintech companies hiring page.

Is fintech hiring shifting towards junior roles?

One week cannot show a shift, but fintech hiring between 19 and 25 October leaned junior: 35 of the 334 new roles with a seniority level were junior, or 10.5%, compared with 6.6% of live roles at the same employers. Senior roles were the largest group of new listings at 40.1%, against 44.8% of live roles. Wise alone posted seven graduate or intern roles, including graduate software engineer, product analyst and UX researcher openings.

Where are the new fintech jobs?

London had the most new roles that week, 42, ahead of San Francisco with 33 and New York with 15. Chicago and Amsterdam had 8 each. London’s lead depends on one employer: Wise posted 19 of the 42, about 45%. Without Wise, London would have 23 and sit behind San Francisco.

Which skills does fintech hiring favour in October 2026?

Payments appears in 145 of the 335 new roles (43.3%) and compliance in 99 (29.6%). Go is next at 76, then Salesforce at 57, SQL at 54 and Python at 53. Compliance shows up in nearly three in ten new ads, almost twice as often as Python, which fits the case Fintechbits has heard from fintech leaders for building compliance in from day one.

Are new fintech roles remote, and do they list pay?

Most are remote: of 241 new roles with a stated work style, 147 are remote (61.0%), 75 hybrid (31.1%) and 19 onsite (7.9%), close to the 58.4% remote, 32.8% hybrid and 8.8% onsite split across live roles at the same employers. Pay is listed on 127 of the 335 new ads (37.9%), against 37.0% of their live roles, so new fintech hiring ads are no more open about pay than the jobs already live.

What to Watch in the Next Fintech Hiring Pulse

Fintechbits will publish Finjobsly hiring data monthly from November 2026. That edition will count Ramp, Checkout.com, Nubank and Mercury for the first time, and it will show whether the junior share of new roles stays above the 6.6% seen across live roles.

Methodology

Fintech hiring figures in this report come from Finjobsly’s live job data, which tracks roles posted on the careers pages of 36 fintech employers. It is a panel of named employers, not a census of the fintech job market. A new role is one Finjobsly first saw between 19 and 25 October 2026 (UTC) that was still live on 26 October. Weekly figures cover the 32 employers tracked before 19 October. Ramp, Checkout.com, Nubank and Mercury are excluded from them because their existing roles were all first seen when they were added. Seniority, skills, work style and city come from Finjobsly’s parsing of each ad. Shares use only the roles where that field is filled in, and the base is stated each time. An ad counts as listing pay when it states a minimum salary. Comparisons with live roles use the same 32 employers.

Questions about fintech hiring

Which fintech company posted the most new jobs in the week to 25 October 2026?

Among the employers Finjobsly tracks, Stripe led fintech hiring with 45 new roles first seen between 19 and 25 October 2026, one more than Toast.

Why are Ramp, Checkout.com, Nubank and Mercury left out of the weekly count?

They were added to the tracker on 19 and 20 October, so all their open roles were first seen that week. Counting them would overstate new hiring. They count normally from the next edition. Fintechbits covered one of them in its report on Mercury’s payroll launch.

How often is the Fintech Hiring Pulse published?

This is the first edition. Fintechbits will publish Finjobsly hiring data again in a monthly fintech jobs report from November 2026.
