Dateline: FIS, product launch, 12 October 2026

FIS, the Jacksonville-based financial technology company, launched FIS Agentic Insights Suite on 12 October 2026, an agentic AI product for corporate finance teams that scores credit risk, business health and ESG in real time and adds a new module for multi-horizon cash flow forecasting. FIS said the suite starts with a self-serve setup, deploys in weeks and plugs into its existing receivables and treasury software, according to its release on BusinessWire.

Integrations: GETPAID, BillerIQ, Integrity and Quantum

Planned modules: Payment anomaly detection and dispute forecasting

What FIS Agentic Insights Suite does

FIS Agentic Insights Suite combines a company’s internal data from ERP, treasury and CRM systems with external credit bureau and public data, then scores accounts and recommends what to do next. FIS describes it as a central hub that gathers data, runs the analysis and recommends action, as opposed to a tool that automates a single task. Part of the pitch is housekeeping: the suite cleans and connects data from different systems so that finance, credit and treasury teams stop reconciling conflicting numbers by hand.

The new cash flow module uses machine learning and forecasting simulations that run many possible outcomes instead of producing one estimate. Finance teams set their own horizons and can test what happens to liquidity if inflows arrive late or outflows speed up. Users ask questions in plain language and see the answers in Power BI dashboards. FIS says later releases will add payment anomaly detection and dispute forecasting.

How the suite plugs into existing FIS products

The integration matters more than the AI features. FIS Agentic Insights connects as an intelligence layer over FIS’s receivables products, GETPAID and BillerIQ, and its treasury products, Integrity and Quantum. A company already running those systems can switch FIS Agentic Insights on without starting a new data project, and data projects are where most corporate AI pilots stall.

Andrés Choussy, president of capital markets at FIS, said most finance teams “can tell you what happened to their cash last quarter; very few can tell you what happens next month with confidence.” FIS backs the pitch with survey data. In Deloitte’s Finance Trends 2026 survey, cited in the FIS release, 46% of global finance leaders named working capital optimization as a top area for agentic AI, while just 14% had fully integrated AI agents into their finance function.

That gap between interest and adoption is real, and FIS is right to target it. I am less sure FIS is the vendor most finance teams will use to close it, for reasons that come down to who already runs FIS software.

Why FIS Agentic Insights is a retention play

FIS Agentic Insights is best read as a way to make existing FIS treasury and receivables clients harder to dislodge. Cash forecasting is a crowded category. Specialists such as Kyriba and HighRadius already sell AI-driven forecasting to corporate treasurers, and the large ERP vendors are building forecasting into their own platforms.

FIS has one clear advantage: it already holds the receivables and treasury data for its clients. A forecast built on the system that tracks invoices and bank positions should be more accurate than one that has to import that data from somewhere else. The flip side is that a CFO whose treasury stack is not FIS has little reason to buy this product, because the integration is the main selling point. FIS will sell this mostly to companies it already serves, and that is probably the intent.

The “agentic” label also deserves some skepticism. Nothing in the release says the suite moves money or takes action on its own. It scores, forecasts and recommends, and people decide. That is the sensible design for anything touching corporate liquidity, since few treasurers would let software move cash unsupervised. It does mean the product looks more like analytics with a chat interface than the autonomous agents the word implies.

Credit scoring may matter more than the forecast

For receivables teams, the credit scoring could prove more useful than the cash forecast. Combining a customer’s payment history in GETPAID with outside bureau data in one score lets a collections team decide which accounts to chase before invoices go past due. FIS says the suite can help clients manage days sales outstanding without adding headcount, and DSO is the measurable outcome a CFO will judge it on. ESG scoring is included too, though the release says nothing about where that data comes from, and ESG scores built on thin public data are not much use to a credit team.

Agentic tools have been spreading through finance back offices. Fintechbits has covered Clearwater’s claim that its AI agents are now routine in investment accounting and explained what agentic payments are. The FIS launch is more cautious than either, offering recommendations only, with a person approving each action.

What to Watch Next for FIS Agentic Insights

Named clients and measured results will settle whether the product works, such as a treasury team showing its forecast error fell or a receivables team cutting days sales outstanding after switching FIS Agentic Insights on. Watch also for the payment anomaly detection module FIS has promised. That module would push the suite from forecasting into fraud and controls, which is harder to build and worth more to a CFO.

Why this matters

FIS Agentic Insights Suite puts credit scoring and multi-horizon cash forecasting on top of data FIS already holds in its receivables and treasury products, so existing clients can adopt it without a separate data project. That makes it a strong retention tool and a weaker pitch to companies on other treasury systems, where Kyriba, HighRadius and the ERP vendors compete. The suite recommends rather than acts, so its value will show in measured forecast accuracy and lower days sales outstanding.
