Global Investment Company Vista Equity Partners announced its collaboration with Evercoreboth companies focusing on sales Finastratreasury and capital markets activities.

As detailed by people familiar with the matter cited by BloombergVista Equity Partners is currently in the early stages of selling the TCM unit, which could net the company a minimum of $2 billion. At the time of the announcement, Finastra’s treasury and capital markets operations generated annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of nearly $200 million. The people familiar with the matter also mentioned that no final decision has been made and that Vista may choose not to finalize the sale of the unit.

Formed in 2017 via a merger between Misys Group, the capital markets business owned by Vista at the time, and Canada-based payments company D+H Corp, Finastra is focusing its efforts on the retail banking, transaction banking, loans and cash flow. The company’s TCM arm provides software for financial institutions that helps organizations process transactions and manage risk and compliance.

When asked for their thoughts on the announcement, Vista and Evercore declined, while a Finastra spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
